
Paula Newton
Paula is a business consultant and writer who has been running her own company offering these services for the past 10 years. She has a background in operations management and has more than a decade of people leadership experience. She has served at both BSkyB and the BBC. She has also previously supported the Brighton Explorers Club as a Trustee, and the South American Explorers Club as a board member.
Paula lived abroad for the best part of 10 years, first in Ecuador, later in Thailand, and in between the two as pioneering digital nomad, travelling South America, Australia and South East Asia while working online. She was awarded her Masters of Business Administration in 2005
Hiking, biking, travel, FIT4 classes and generally being a bit of a board gaming geek.
Andrew Fleetwood
Andrew lives and works in Worthing. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2008 and has broad experience across both practice and industry. Andrew currently works as a Financial Controller for a manufacturing company and very much enjoys this role. Amongst his many duties, his focus is on maximising value.
Prior to his current role, Andrew worked for a large international brand in various financial positions.

Steve Redman
Steve has lived in Worthing for 30 years.
Since being called to the Bar he has worked as legal counsel in the financial services, insurance and life science industries and served on various trustee boards during this time.
He now acts as a legal consultant to corporate clients and also volunteers as an adviser for Citizens Advice.
Steve enjoys spending time with his family. He is a keen photographer and enjoys the opportunities afforded by the local area for landscape and seascape photography.
Steve is a FIT4 member and attaches great importance to the health benefits of keeping fit and active.
Amanda Turner
Amanda has a background in Energy and Energy Transition. She has a BSc and PhD in Geosciences and an MBA from Warwick Business School. Following completion of a course in Business Sustainability Management at the University of Cambridge, she set up her own Sustainability Consultancy to assist Sussex businesses in reducing their Carbon Footprint.
Amanda has previously been a Company Director and Trustee for several organisations including Wychavon Leisure, a not-for-profit leisure organisation running 4 leisure centres in Worcestershire.
She grew up in West Sussex and remembers swimming in the County Championships at the Worthing Aquarena as a teenager.
Amanda is a sports enthusiast and a FIT4 member attending yoga, tone and spin classes as well as working out in the gym at Splashpoint. She is also keen on mental well being and is a Samaritans Listening Volunteer.

Gerard Cronin
Gerard has over 10 years’ experience working in primary care as a business manager for a GP surgery and Primary Care network.
He has a background working in business development in higher education working with a wide range of local, national and international stakeholders supporting research and knowledge transfer.
He completed a Masters in Business Administration in 2014 and has a MA in international relations, in line with his interests in health and wellbeing.
Gerard is also a Trustee for a local charity, Sustainable Sussex.
Jim Marshall
Jim Marshall has lived in Shoreham by Sea since 2001. He works for the water industry with spells research, regulation, assurance and consultancy. During his time he has promoted the public health aspects of drinking water as an alternative to fizzy drinks and was also part of the team that promoted the Refill initiative to reduce bottled water use. He has previously held trustee roles with CABWI (training and awarding body for the water industry) as well as charity roles with Cancer Research and Friends of Shoreham Beach. He was awarded an OBE by the late Queen in October 2020 for services to the water industry during the Covid pandemic.
Jim is a member of FIT4 and regularly attends the gym at Lancing Manor Leisure Centre with his daughter. He enjoys watching and attending football, NFL and F1.

Nick Beverley-Hedger
Nick studied Genetics at the University of Nottingham, before becoming a Chartered Management Accountant and working in the investment management industry, eventually becoming a global financial controller with teams in 7 countries round the world.
Nick spent a fair chunk of his life living abroad, both as a child and through work, in Brazil, Argentina, and Bermuda.
He is also a Trustee of Turning Tides Limited, a charity which is now the biggest provider of services for single homeless people in West Sussex, where he also chairs the Finance and Audit Committee.
Walking with his two dogs, reading science fiction, supporting Liverpool FC, and spending time with family and friends.

Kevin Boram
Kevin is a chartered accountant and has worked for a major accounting firm in London as well as for a leading energy company. For the latter he held senior positions in strategic planning, responsible for the long term strategy to deliver a low carbon and sustainable electricity company, and developing financial and commercial solutions to deliver projects in the rail, public and nuclear energy sectors.
Kevin has lived in Shoreham for over 30 years, raising a young family, and takes an active part in a wide range of local charity and community activities.
Having seen first hand the huge impact of physical and mental illness on people and families, Kevin fully understands the importance of keeping healthy and active and the role that South Downs Leisure can play for all in the community.
He is a FIT4 member and regularly uses the gym and, with a lesser degree of success, Wadurs Swimming Pool.

Tom Wrapson
Tom has worked in health and fitness since he was 19 years old in a variety of different settings from council lead facilities to private country clubs. Tom has worked a variety of different position in health and fitness advising, personal training, class instruction, membership sales and Duty managing in both dry sites and wet sites.
