Discover Triathlon with David Nicholson – Free talks
Discover Triathlon with David Nicholson
Ever thought about doing a triathlon but decided it would be too hard or not for you? This free, friendly talk is designed to show that triathlon is far more achievable, welcoming and enjoyable than many people expect.
Join Team GB triathlete and experienced coach David Nicholson as he shares his journey into the sport and explains how people of all ages and abilities can get started. David will explore the physical and mental benefits of triathlon, including improved fitness, strength, weight management, confidence, motivation and wellbeing. He will also break down the practical side of the sport, from training and equipment to preparation for your very first event.
While triathlon can seem daunting at first, it is one of the most supportive sports around, with local clubs, training groups and events across the South Coast and the UK. David will explain how to take your first steps, what support is available, and how a coach can help guide you through the process in a simple, reassuring way.
David Nicholson is a Worthing-based triathlete who competes for Great Britain in international championships and has completed 12 full-distance Ironman races. With more than 10 years’ coaching experience, he supports beginners through to Team GB athletes, helping people achieve goals they never thought possible. A limited number of free coaching sessions will be available to attendees.
Everyone is welcome, from teenagers to grandparents, whether you are new to exercise, returning to fitness, or simply curious about trying something new.
